Uses of firewall

•          Firewall can be either hardware or software. It protects a computer virus, warm, spyware & other infectious software. Pocket filtering, proxy service, checking correctness of the data are the major work of firewall. In windows XP operating system we can find a firewall named inter connection firewall (ICF).To utilize firewall in windows XP
 Go to start menu. > Click on control panel. > Go to network connection option>
 After selecting your required Network Go to Change settings of the connection option.>
 Go to properties> Go to advance>Chose Protect my computer and network option.>
 Go to advance setting.
          
         There you will get three options: Service, security logging, & ICMP.For service user there is active list in the server or net.If you select any service from here then any ICF or internet user can easily use it by entering throw the firewall. after completing the desired work click OK and come out.

         Then go to Start>control penal>windows firewall  >turn windows firewall on or off>turn on
&if the net is slow turn off
